چکیده
Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers in world. Delayed diagnosis cause death patients. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a group non-coding that effective incidence cancers. Studies different determined HOTAIR as an important lncRNA tumorigenesis. In gastric cancer, function initiation and progression seems to be crucial. this study, we confirmed significant differential expression between tumors normal tissues datasets. following, regulatory its interaction with miRNAs development was analyzed. Our analysis upregulation essential pathways associated cancer. Further numerous potential targets for HOTAIR. Among them, demonstrated miR-1 miRNA negative correlation tumors. Validation target cisplatin chemotherapy drug. Eventually, effect on target, miR-1, checked by vitro study. Cisplatin treatment cell line showed there downregulation treated cells. conclusion, comprehensive silico experimental study provided evidence importance HOTAIR/miR-1 axis diagnostic strategies

MET amplification as a potential therapeutic target in gastric cancer
Our aim was to investigate both the prevalence of MET amplification in gastric cancer as well as the potential of this genetic alteration to serve as a therapeutic target in gastric cancer. MET amplification was assessed by initial screening with a PCR-based copy number assay followed by confirmatory FISH analysis in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens of gastric cancer obtained at surg...
متن کاملCD163 as a novel target gene of STAT3 is a potential therapeutic target for gastric cancer
CD163 is a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich superfamily, and has been widely used to identify M2 type macrophage. However, the expression of CD163 in gastric cancer and its regulatory mechanism are still unclear. Here we show that CD163 is elevated in gastric cancer tissues. High expression of CD163 is a potential indicator to evaluate the status of tumor associated macrophages (T...
متن کاملExpression of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase-1 in gastric cancer as a potential therapeutic target
In contrast to mitochondria in healthy cells, which utilize oxidative phosphorylation, malignant cells undergo elevated glycolysis for energy production using glucose. The objectives of this study were to evaluate whether the expression of various molecules, including pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase-1 (PDK-1), is involved in the altered glucose meta...
متن کاملCopper signaling axis as a target for prostate cancer therapeutics.
Previously published reports indicate that serum copper levels are elevated in patients with prostate cancer and that increased copper uptake can be used as a means to image prostate tumors. It is unclear, however, to what extent copper is required for prostate cancer cell function as we observed only modest effects of chelation strategies on the growth of these cells in vitro. With the goal of...
متن کاملMCT4 as a potential therapeutic target for metastatic gastric cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis
Monocarboxylate transporters (MCTs) play a major role in up-regulation of glycolysis and adaptation to acidosis. However, the role of MCTs in gastric cancer (GC) is not fully understood. We investigated the potential utilization of a new cancer therapy for GC. We characterized the expression patterns of the MCT isoforms 1, 2, and 4 and investigated the role of MCT in GC through in vitro and in ...
